今日は、11月25日に開催されたイベントSports and Darts Nightを紹介します。
Everyone was looking forward to it, and I think it's safe to say the darts event was a total success! We all had a great time and it was a good way of saying goodbye to Peter, who is going back to Australia. This was my first time attending a Linguage party outside of the school, and I think it was really fun! The students were able to socialize, eat, laugh, and overall enjoy the night. It all started at Nishiguchi, though, where Peter and I had a chat with the students before walking to the bar where Kayo was already waiting, not too far from the school. The bar where the party took place had, of course, darts, but also a table tennis table! I tried to play table tennis against the students but I was immediately beaten - they're very good at it!
The students brought a birthday cake for Peter who had his birthday not too long before the day of the party. The cake was made with soy milk, since Peter avoids dairy products - we have really considerate students! It was delicious, though, I personally would have never guessed it didn't use regular milk. Peter was really happy to finally be able to eat cake again! And we're all glad the party was a fantastic experience for everyone involved. I'm looking forward to the next one!
That's not the only way in which we had fun, though, we shared drinks and snacks while talking about all kinds of topics. It really was a great chance to practice English! I think it's important to have fun when learning, so I'd recommend all students to join these events. Even though we had students who are studying different levels of English at Linguage, everyone did a good job in expressing their views and opinions in a way everyone could understand. That's the goal!
